Welcome to The Old Granary luxury holiday cottage and The Cabin. Nestled in the stunning The Peak District set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasting breathtaking views, with nothing but nature as far as the eye can see. We pride ourselves on providing luxury self catering accommodation, unique and perfectly placed to escape, relax and unwind in a beautiful setting.

Discover two stunning properties to choose from, The Old Granary which sleeps up to four and The Cabin which sleeps two or both can be combined together for larger groups. Both spaces are dog-friendly, we see pets as part of the family and welcome your furry friends to join you on your trip.

We have been welcoming guests since opening in 2007 and have gained a reputation for providing a fantastic experience, offering guests the highest level of comfort and facilities.

 Verified Stunning views, beautifully designed tranquil escape We stayed in the Cabin and it was absolutely gorgeous. The views and morning sunrises were just stunning, and it felt like a real secret escape in the Peaks. The cabin itself was finished to an amazingly high standard with so much attention to detail. The bath in the decking was the icing on the cake and we absolutely loved getting away from it all here, wanted to stay all week! The welcome basket was also a lovely touch, and the hosts were really helpful and welcoming. Thank you!

 Verified 10/10 luxury, cannot fault! We stayed in The Cabin and it was perfect. Quietly nestled away in its own little corner the cabin is really private and secluded and has the best countryside views. The luxurious interior and extra attention to detail really made this place something special. The hosts were so friendly and hospitable, providing a welcome pack of local produce and a bottle of fizz on arrival. The bath built into the decking was the highlight and allowed total off grid relaxation. 10/10 we couldn’t fault our stay! Thank you 😊

 Verified Fantastic place and incredible view! From the very start we were warmly welcomed by Amanda (host). The place was spotless on arrival and we were treated to an incredible Victoria sponge cake made by Amanda as well as fresh hen eggs, sourdough bread and a few other local products. The place was lovely with a cosy feel. It has 3 bathrooms and an additional toilet downstairs (so 4 toilets in total) which is fantastic. The private hot tub was brilliant overlooking the most incredible view. You can’t even get this view from certain tourist viewpoints! There is parking comfortably for up to six cars. I can’t recommend the place enough and we look forward to revisiting again in the future.

 Verified A beautiful and peaceful holiday We visited this superb cottage in May 2024 we booked for the week and took our dog with us. There was excellent communication from the outset and upon arrival the hostess couldn’t be more lovely or helpful. We arrived to the most wonderful welcome package for not just us but our dog too. The cottage is beautifully decorated and so clean and comfortable the veiws are really quite spectacular and they only get better the more you look. During our stay we had a couple of enquiries that Amanda and Martin could not have been more helpful with they are such truly helpful and respectful people you would ever wish to meet. The cottage is perfectly proportioned and very well equipped with all you could need for a wonderful week away. The local walks and pubs are peaceful and welcoming. If you do nothing more during your stay we would advise eat the eggs from the chickens on site they are delicious and have a long soak in the hot tub while over looking the valley. We absolutely did not want to leave and we strongly recommend this cottage for anyone who is looking for a peaceful, beautifully decorated cottage with an excellent garden space to match you will not be disappointed. A huge thank you to Amanda and Martin for what will be a really magical and memorable week.

 Verified Stunningly stay at the Granary Immaculate private cottage in the most amazing surroundings. More than deserves its 5 star gold status. Hot tub is superb and the highest quality overlooking the stunning rolling hills of Derbyshire. The Old Granary is luxurious and cosy with everything you need for an unforgettable stay. Finally, it’s clear that the hosts take great pride in their cottage. This shows in all the little touches, like the fresh eggs and delicious sponge cake.  Verified Fantastic cottage, stunning views, amazing location! We booked the old Granary for a long birthday weekend and we are so glad we did. It was the perfect weekend - the cottage is beautiful and welcoming with the most stunning views with a fantastic location. We were welcomed by a lovely homemade cake and Prosecco - and it felt like walking into a home away from home. Everything was just lovely and you have stunning views and beautiful little towns and villages barely 10-15 minutes drive away.  Verified What a Gem of a Find An excellent property in every way .Good quality appliances and furnishings, comfortable beds and good quality Egyptian cotton bed linen. spotlessly clean and well prepared for our arrival. Very welcome arrival pack, including a home made Victoria sponge cake and freshly laid eggs from their hens. Lovely welcoming, friendly and helpful owners . Well kept garden and fantastic views.very quiet and peaceful.We had very mixed weather and on cold wet days took great delight in enjoying a log fire, log burner very easy to use and efficient. It was a bonus to be able to buy the logs from the owners and not have to go out looking to buy them.Well placed for visiting NT properties, Chatsworth House, The Tramway Museum and other privately owned gardens, little towns and villages.Highly recommend this property it had everything we needed and wanted .  Verified Amazing week in a stunning location Beautiful cottage with stunning views in a wonderful location. Our hosts were great, providing great information on pubs restaurants and the local area.  Verified Just wonderful! We had a wonderful weekend staying in this superb cottage. It had everything we needed and was very well equipped to make our stay really special. The welcome pack was a fabulous touch and the cake was divine. The views are spectacular and the accommodation is so well equipped. It is also very well located for walks and visiting all parts of the Peaks. We had a fab weekend and we’d recommend this place to everyone!
